Stop-motion (also known as claymation) is the process of moulding clay figures or using toys such as Lego to make films. To do this the animator moves the objects very slightly and take pictures of them. Then, they upload the pictures into secondary softwares, which play the snapshots at a speedy framerate to make it look like the figures are moving.

This method of animation is the earliest and dates a long time back, where it  was used in the first Walt Disney Animations.
