Daphne Blake is one of the tritagonists of the Scooby-Doo franchise. Usually portrayed as the damsel in distress, mostly getting caught by the monsters and having to be rescued. In recent years however, she is shown to have impressive fighting skills, and is not cought by the villains, and if she is, she escapes really easily. Her parents also fund the gangs activity, and it is hinted that she owns the Mystery Machine, and lets Fred drive it because she has a crush on him.
She usually wears a purple blouse, a green scarf, pink stockings, and purple shoes. She also has orange hair, and her eyes are shown to be blue. It is hinted by fans that she and Fred has a crush on each other, but this is never shown until Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
Her parents are very wealthy, having made a fortune in many areas, one of them being selling soap.
She was voiced by Indira Stefanianna Christpherson in the first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, and then by Heather North, from 1970–1998, and then temporarly in 2002-2003. She was also voiced by Mary Kay Bergman from 1998–2000, and is currently voiced by Grey DeLisle. Kellie Martin voiced her in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.
